Edinburgh Dungeons

The Edinburgh Dungeons will give you a history lesson and a scare at the same time. Question is are you brave enough? Here at the dungeon you’ll find every kind of horrible experience from Scotland’s past thrown together with great gusto, great acting, rides and special effects. The Street of Sorrows brings you the plague, while we look at Burke and Hare, the gruesome grave robbers. There’s storytelling and the plague ridden caves of Galloway and a rather frightening torture chamber. You’ll find the gruesomely fun dungeons at 31 Market Street, Edinburgh.

Gorgie Farm

Here’s a farm with a difference. There are animals and lessons on food production and opportunities to learn about farm life, and how they’re fed and prepared for food production. Edinburgh Zoo

A zoo visit is a great place to visit for the entire family with something for everyone, and of course the Giant Pandas. You’ll find this world famous zoo at 134 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh.

Midlothian Snowsports Centre

A snow-sports centre for all the family with junior ski, snowboarding and kinder ski camps available. You’ll find the Snow Sports Centre at Biggar Road, Hillend.

Xtreme Karting

This karting centre is located in Edinburgh, (there’s another at Falkirk) and has been rated 5 stars, so you know you’re getting a great day out that’s professionally and safely run by a group of experts who know what they’re doing, so you’re in safe hands. It’s easy to get here and you’ll have a great experience with indoor go karting. You’ll find the Xtreme Karting Centre at 2 Huly Hill Road in Newbridge.


A place where you can have fun and a history lesson. At TimeTwisters you’ll learn about Ancient Egypt and get some exercise too! There’s a great family day out to be had here at TimeTwisters, you’ll find soft play facilities within an ancient Egyptian theme with great seating on offer some Italian coffees or tea and nicely prepared fresh meals. You’ll find TimeTwisters at Sighthill in the West of Edinburgh.

Deep Sea World

A world of fun and a great place to learn about the ocean and the creatures that live within it. This is an educational place, and a place where you can have fun as well as learn great facts about ocean life. Deep Sea World is for the whole family and you’ll have a great time. You’ll find Deep Sea World at Battery Quarry, North Queensferry in Fife.

Dynamic Earth

Another 5 star attraction here in Edinburgh, which you can find within the World Heritage Site. This is a tented structure at Salisbury Crags. It opened over 15 years ago and has been open to the public ever since. You’ll find this is a great place to find out about Scotland’s geology which was in fact inspired by the great geologist himself James Hutton. You’ll find it at Holyrood Road in Edinburgh.
